More often than not, a Scout will grapple over to get it or an Engineer will drop a platform to give you somewhere safe to stand while you mine. Set Markers For Your Fellow MinersĪny time you come across a mineral deposit or useful item that you just can’t seem to reach, try setting a marker using your laser pointer to let your fellow miners know about it. The good news is flares do recharge after a cooldown period and some biomes provide natural light via certain flora, crystals, etc. However, since they are limited in supply, you’ll want to be mindful of how many you have left and coordinate with the other miners, especially if there’s a Scout on your team. Speaking of resources, flares are one of the most useful items in any miner’s toolbelt as they can help light up Hoxxes’ dark and dangerous caves. The best way to tackle secondaries is to get them out of the way early on and not wait until the end when larger swarms and dwindling resources become more of a problem. Complete Secondary Objectives For A Nice BonusĮvery mission includes both a main and secondary objective that will net your team a nice bonus of credits to spend and XP to level up your dwarf.Īlthough completing secondaries are completely optional, most of them are easy enough to complete depending on your team makeup, mission biome, and cave layout. While the Driller is the best class for digging through dirt quickly, any miner can give it a whack by using their company-issued pickaxe. In addition, you’ll want to keep an eye out for areas with big patches of brown dirt, as digging through these will lead you to another cave system with even more minerals, etc. If only I could activate it by holding spacebar instead of C.After exiting the drop pod at the start of a mission, you should get to work exploring your starting cave and make note of any mineral deposits, collectibles, and other objective-specific materials. Meh? I wanna switch senses for Hover boots, cause its basically the Dash, but doing different thing. Closest to that I see is a "see you in hell" perk, boosting melee damage temporary, which is.

Why do I use senses? Because even if I dont meet a sneaky leech, I still will be alerted in that mission atleast a couple of times with it's passive effect, that makes obvious and huge difference. Why do I use dash? Yep, because I know I will dash atleast a dozen of times, its infinite, and recharges quick, and has many different uses, and Im not afraid to "spend" it on something "not worth it" because its effectively infinite and recharges quick. No-no, active perks are not useless, but most of them don't provide something that I know I will make use of.

I have a feeling that a lot of perks should be buffed, if only a little. Once in like 20 runs, but something like dash helps me each mission, so i rather pick that one. Thats why i dont really like Iron Will, it can help. I just think i get decent mileage out of that perk, it helps most of the time. Originally posted by Enfild:Well, to each their own.
